Location

Bojena apartment block is located in the Bulgarian village of Dobrinishte. Use this link to map directions to Bojena.

Dobrinishte is situated in the South West of Bulgaria in the heart of the Pirin mountains.

The location is well suited to trekking, golf, fishing and horse riding in the spring-autumn, and Bansko - situated 6km away - is an all-season resort with Central Europe’s best skiing and a growing reputation for Golf.

By road, Dobrinishte is approximately 2 hours from Sofia and 2.5 hours from the Greek beach resort of Kavala.

The village is situated at the foot of the Pirin Mountain in the south-eastern part of the Razlog valley on 810 meters above the sea level. The village has a wonderful view towards the most beautiful part of Pirin. The guests of the village can also enjoy the healing properties of the local mineral water. Dobrinishte is 165 kilometers away from Sofia and 6 kilometers south of Bansko.

Village of Dobrinishte

Dobrinishte village (Pirin mountain) is only 6 km south of Bansko. It is final station on the narrow gauge line from the town of Septemvri.

It is one of the largest villages in the country by population.

There are 17 mineral springs with water temperature between 30 and 43 C, as well as a big mineral public bath.

There are a number of private hotels in the village as well as a House of Tourism.

The town is a point of departure to the chalets called Gotze Delchev, Mocharata, Bezbog and the ski-center called Bezbog.

There is a bus line to Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Razlog, Bansko, Gotze Delchev, etc. The bus station is near the railway station, about 1 km east of Dobrinishte.

PIRIN Mountain is the country’s second highest mountain in Bulgaria. It is southern neighbour of Rila mountain. The north part is a high ridge with north-west to south-east orientation

Sofia Transfers

If hiring a car - remember both parts of your driving license. It is mandatory by law to have this (as well as your passport) on you when driving in Bulgaria.

Transfers by bus can be arranged by, among others, Early Bird Transfers run by Steve and Wendy who have always been very helpful.

Buses to Bansko

Public transport provides buses between Dobrinishte to Bansko (and on to Sofia). The buses stop at Dobrinishte train station adjacent to the flat.

The timetable shown in top images is the Bansko bus station so all times are relative to Bansko.

Buses to Dobrinishte from Bansko are shown in the 4th line, plus the extra bus at 17:50 which terminates as Dobrinishte.

Buses from Dobrinishte to Bansko are in the 3rd line for the buses to Razlog, but take approximately 25 minutes off this time to get the time the bus leaves Dobrinishte for Bansko.

As an example, there is a (confirmed) 09:35 bus from Dobrinishte to Bansko and you can return at 16:55, 17:50, 18:00, etc... after skiing (the 17:50 bus is confirmed).

Taxi

A taxi from the Bansko bus station to the Dobrinishte bus station is approximately 20 lev. Add 5 or more for coming from central Bansko.
